Sometimes things can go wrong inside your mouth, and if they do, we are here to help.
If you are one of our registered patients then please call 01730 263092 for an urgent appointment. We aim to see all serious emergencies on the same day you ring up. If you suffer a problem outside of normal working hours and need urgent advice, then please contact our emergency partner the 247 dentist – see below for more details.
There are rare occasions when urgent medical care is needed and you may need to dial 999. These include:
• Trauma to the head which has damaged the teeth and caused loss of consciousness.
• Trauma to the mouth which is causing uncontrollable bleeding.
• Swelling due to infection which is starting to close the windpipe making breathing difficult.
If you are unsure whether urgent medical care is needed then call us immediately or dial 111 for advice.
If you are a Careplan or Membership plan patient and you suffer a dental emergency while out of the area, please call the Global Dental Scheme number for further help on +44 333 3580 477.
If you have not been seen at the Practice before, then please give us a call on 01730 263092 and we will offer you our next available appointment which is usually within 24 hours. Before we can treat anyone we need to take a full medical history, so please bring details of any medication that you are taking.
There is a £170 charge for this appointment which includes assessment, any X-rays needed, treatment to relieve pain and any antibiotics we may prescribe you. If your problem can’t be resolved in a single appointment, we will advise you on what further treatment is needed and give you a written estimate.
Alternatively, if your dental problem is not urgent, then we can see you for a new patient assessment and discuss the options available for treatment. This costs £93 for a 45 minute appointment (but please note it does not include treatment).
We are pleased to partner with the 247dentist for our out of hours service. If you need emergency advice or treatment when the Practice is closed, please call 03301 759 995. The 247dentist can offer emergency, same day and out of hours appointments at their Waterlooville clinic.
This is available 365 days of the year, including weekday evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. There is also an option for emergency video dentist appointments for advice and prescriptions if needed.
Please let us know if you use this service as we may cover your costs for certain emergencies.
Please also let them know if you are registered on one of our Dental Plans, as you may be able to claim back some of the cost of any treatment provided.

The clinic address is 15 St Georges Walk, Waterlooville, PO7 7TU. Please note this address is used by another dental clinic during the working day and is only run by the247dentist outside of these hours.
For our Dental Plan patients, if you are more than 25 miles away from the Practice (including abroad) and need emergency dental care, then please phone 0333 3580 477. This will connect you with The Global Dental Accident and Emergency Scheme which is included as part of the Plan.
