Jubilee Day Nursery 15/03/12

Charlotte and Heidi had another school visit of 15 3-4 year olds where they got to use the oversized toothbrush and large set of teeth for demonstration. The children really learned something from the visit and it’s quickly becoming a popular and enjoyable game for the children to sort food into good and bad hoops!

Little School Day Nursery 14/03/12

As Charlotte and Heidi were teaching two groups of 3-4 year olds (a class of 16 and one of 17), they gave a tooth brushing demonstration with an oversized toothbrush and large set of teeth. The children really got into it and enjoyed the exercise where they got to sort food into good for you and bad for you hoops! The school visits really help to make learning fun and the children really get stuck in to the activities :-)

Binsted Church of England school visit 06/03/12

Binsted C of E Primary School visit on the 6 March 2012 - Charlotte and Heidi got to teach Years 2-6 in two groups; one of 27 and one of 23. Because of the wide range of ages of the children, Charlotte and Heidi kept this visit fairly simple and the presentation short but the children all got to learn something new as they enjoyed themselves. They were shown equivalent sugar contents in foods such as Ketchup and Jelly – there were a few gasps! They got the chance to have some fun using the disclosing tablets too!

Philips Sonicare lunch and learn 23/02/12

Philips Sonicare lunch and learn -. Staff were brought lunch by the Philips representative and had a nice hour of learning about all the up to date products they had to offer.

Churcher's Junior School visit 20/02/12

Churchers Junior School visit on the 20 February 2012 - Charlotte and Heidi taught in total 41 year 4 children in two classes of 20 + 21. For the second time, Charlotte and Heidi went into school to teach the children but this time a slightly older age group. Children were disclosed and got to have a giggle at each other’s purple mouths while doing their best not to make a mess! The children were very well behaved!

West Meon Primary School 24/01/2012

West Meon Primary School visit on the 24 January 2012. The first EVER school visit for our dentist Heidi and hygienist Charlotte! The age group they taught were years 3, 4, 5 + 6 and there were 16 children per group. The aim in doing school visits is to raise awareness from an early age of how to manage your own oral health. The children were taught about oral hygiene and were disclosed so they could see the plaque on their teeth. Pupils all had purple tongues and it was a great laugh! They were then given a tooth brush and shown how to clean their teeth properly and received a goodie bag with lots of bits for them to take home including tooth brushing charts and colouring sheets to keep them busy on a rainy day.
